On Wednesday, GT and DC will square off in a mid-table match in Delhi. Gill made his IPL debut with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after the ICC U19 World Cup, and in the short time since then, not many have been able to emulate his remarkable career.

He joined the Gujarat Titans for the 2022 season, and during their inaugural campaign, they won the championship. Gill had a standout season with GT, finishing as the team’s second-highest run scorer with 483 runs in 16 games at a strike percentage of 132.33 and an average of 34.50. In addition, he scored four half-centuries, the highest of which was 96. The team managed to chase down 131 runs in a low-scoring match against Rajasthan Royals thanks to Gill’s undefeated 45* in the championship.
These seasons were a taste of what Gill was capable of. The following season, the batter’s game took a quantum leap forward as he started to hit runs and the ball was hitting the middle of his bat for the first time. ‘Player of the Tournament’ went to Gill.
Gill has amassed 298 runs at an average of 42.57 and a strike rate of 146.80 in eight games this season. With a high score of 89*, he has hit two fifty.
Gill has amassed 1,671 runs in 41 innings with GT, with three tons, ten fifties, and the highest score of 129. His average is 46.42 and his strike rate is over 147.
