Morena News: Woman dies in road accident, angry people torch truck, driver absconds

Morena News Naiduniya Representative, Morena. The girl, who was going to a wedding on a bike with her parents, felt thirsty. The father parked the bike on the side of the highway and went to the shop to buy a water bottle. During this time, a speeding truck coming from behind hit the bike, due to which the woman sitting on the bike was crushed to death, while the girl got injured. After this accident, there was such anger among the people that they poured petrol on the highway, a few steps away from the police station, and burnt a truck full of bananas.

Rambharat Singh Tomar of Holapura village of Ambah police station area lives with his family on Satyanarayan’s tekri in Gwalior. On Tuesday, there was a wedding at his sister’s house in Mrigpura village, where Rambharat Singh was taking his wife Sajni and two daughters Kamal and Khushboo on a bike to attend the ceremony. As soon as the bike reached Chounda toll around 5 pm, 13 year old daughter Khushboo said that she was feeling thirsty.

Rambharat stopped the bike to buy a water bottle from the shops near the toll. Parked the bike on the side of the highway and went to get a water bottle. During this time Sajni Tamer remained sitting on the bike, Komal stood nearby. The second daughter Khushboo went to the shop with her father. Meanwhile, a truck filled with bananas from Gwalior side hit the bike. Due to the collision, 40 year old Sajni Tomar fell from the bike and came under the wheels of the truck and died tragically on the spot. 16 year old Komal was also injured after being hit by the truck.

Truck burnt out petrol from bike, caused jam

The speed of the truck was so high that it climbed the divider 300 meters away from the spot and the truck driver got down and ran away from the spot. Seeing the gruesome accident, the people nearby became angry. Meanwhile, two-three youths took out petrol from the bike, sprinkled it in the cabin of the truck and set it on fire. The place where this accident took place is a few steps away from the Civil Lines police station. Within a few minutes the truck started burning. There was a jam on the highway due to the burning truck. On receiving the information, the fire brigade reached and by the time the fire was controlled, the entire cabin of the truck was burnt to ashes. Due to the accident, there was a jam of more than a kilometer long on the highway. Highway traffic was disrupted for about three hours.
