Zack Snyder is yet again back with a project, this time an adult animated series which he has been teasing for a long time titled “twilight of the gods”. The audience is skeptical about it, the title card says “from Zack Snyder” which is kind of a bad news as Snyder has a track record that speaks for him. He definitely knows how to direct beautiful cinema but even his hardcore fans cannot approve of his writing. The director will be filling the project with his vision for about eight episodes. He is also producing the animated series. The year hasn’t been good to Snyder with Rebel Moon 2 being a disaster and it will be hard to present yet another project to an exhausted audience, that too with conviction.
Let’s talk about the good stuff, the team working on the project includes heavy resumes. People closely associated with DC animation. The team has brought forth beautiful projects like “Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox” and “Batman: TDKR” and shows like “Supergirl”. That is a sliver of hope for the fans. The story is primarily centered on revenge of a Queen who had her wedding crashed. Set in the Viking age, gods like Odin, Thor and Loki will make appearances. The series will be releasing on Netflix
Speaking of which, Snyder’s association with Netflix might just have stretched too far too thin. With two consecutive screw ups in the form of Rebel Moon part 1 and part 2, the best strategy would have been a period of rest and recalculation. Perhaps Snyder should have a slow motion moment himself to give him enough time to reevaluate his decisions.
