Story:

Ratnam (Hero Vishal) is a follower of MLA Panneer Swamy (Samudrakhani). Ratnam is ready to do anything for Panneer Swami. They also do gem batch murders for good. On the other hand some bullies attack Mallika (Priya Bhavani Shankar). They chase her to kill her. But Ratnam saves her from them. Who actually tried to kill Mallika?
Why does Ratnam risk his life for Mallika?, what kind of twist did this story take in the midst of some dramatic developments in this sequence?, finally what did Ratnam do for Mallika? That is the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

There are some fun elements and action scenes in this film with pure mass elements. Especially Vishal’s role, the link between that character and the heroine’s role is new. Vishal has done a good job in this movie and has done a good job with his role. Especially with his body language, Vishal acted very well in some emotional and some powerful action sequences.

And Murali Sharma, who played the role of the villain, impressed with his performance and body ease. Priya Bhavani Shankar who played the heroine does not have much scope. However, she has done full justice to her role. Samudrakhani’s performance is also natural. Gautham Menon, Yogi Babu and the rest of the cast have also performed well to the extent of their roles. The mass taking and action making style of this film is good.

Minus Points:

Some of the scenes in this ‘Ratnam’ are moving very slowly, the con conflict is not impressive, the main characters are not connected properly, and the graph of hero Vishal’s character Taluk is also not good.

But even though director Hari’s work made me interested in the first half… similarly the concept written by him, some action sequences and interval scenes were good… the elements like the story moving too slowly and missing logic at some places in the movie were not good.

Overall, director Hari started the movie interestingly and then diverted the story with unnecessary scenes. All in all, only some action scenes and some sentimental scenes are good in this emotional action story. And the rest of the content was routine and uninteresting.

Technical Department:

Although the emotional content of the movie is good, the story does not have an interesting plot. Director Hari was not impressed in terms of script. And the songs composed by music director Devi Sri Prasad do not matter. When it comes to cinematography.. the locations are impressive with all the natural visuals. The way cameraman M. Sukumar has shot them is good. Editing is also not good. The production values followed by Karthikeyan Santhanam, the producer of this film, are good.

Verdict:

In this emotional action drama called ‘Ratnam’, some emotions and some action scenes are good. However, things like the slow progress of the stories, the missing interesting elements in the second half, and the regular screenplay are the minus points of the movie. Overall Vishal’s acting is impressive.. but this movie does not connect.
