Lucknow: India’s star spinner Amit Mishra took the field as an impact player in the match against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. Mishra ji, defying his age of 41 years, sent Riyan Parag, who had set foot on the pitch in his very first over, back to the pavilion by trapping him in his spin. Parag hit a six on the first ball of Mishra ji but on the very next ball he got trapped in his net and was caught by Ayush Badoni standing at the boundary.
Took wicket in IPL after 350 days
Mishra ji took a wicket in IPL after a long gap of 350 days and left Sunil Narine behind in the race for wickets. Amit Mishra has 174 wickets in his account in 162 matches. Mishra has reached par with Bhuvneshwar Kumar among the players who have taken the most wickets in IPL. Both have 174-174 wickets in their account. Whereas Narine is left behind with 173 wickets.

Amit Mishra has come to the joint third place in the list of players taking the most wickets in IPL. The record of taking most wickets in IPL is in the name of Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal has taken 200 wickets in his name so far in IPL. After him, Dwayne Bravo and Piyush Chawla are at second position in this list with 183 wickets shared. Whereas Amit Mishra has jointly occupied the third position with Bhuvneshwar Kumar with 174 wickets. At the fourth place are Sunil Narine and Ravichandran Ashwin with 173 wickets.
