Story:
Shiva Shankar (Sunder C) is a lawyer. He falls in love with his sister Shivani (Tamanna Bhatia) and gets married. However, Shivani’s husband dies due to an evil spirit named Bak. Who is this Baak?, Why did this evil force target Shivani’s family?, How did Shivani become a spirit and save Shiva’s children?, On the other hand, what did Shiva Shankar do for his sister’s children?, How did he end that Baak?, In this whole affair Maya ( What is Rashi Khanna’s character?, what twists did this story take in the end? That’s the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
Director Sundar has taken horror comedy as a successful format. C came to us with this movie. Naturally, in this genre, the movie is mainly written with scenes that are interwoven with elements like comedy and fear. This movie also went the same way. Especially Sundar. Along with this entertainment, C also cultivated fear and emotion very well. When it comes to the performance of the actors.. Tamannaah Bhatia’s performance is the highlight in this movie as always. Another heroine Rashi Khanna also acted well.
Sundar as the hero. C performance is also very good. Sundar especially with his performance in some horror scenes. C pleased. Kovai Sarala, Vennela Kishore and Srinivas Reddy who played the lead roles in this movie impressed with their performance. Also, the rest of the cast also did justice to their roles. Sundar as the director. C has impressed the audience with some scenes that come in a combination of horror and comedy. The music provided by Hip Hop Tamil is very good.
Minus Points:
Director Sundar. Although some horror and comedy scenes directed by C are impressive. No matter how good the scene is, they are not integrated into the overall story. In terms of story and narration, the screenplay format followed in earlier horror films was also followed in this film. It gives the feeling that some scenes have been seen before.
Another minus point of the movie is that the length of the movie is increased for some comedy scenes. 10 minutes after the start of the second half, the audience does not go into the original story. Apart from this, there are more Tamil Nativity movies here and there. Also Kovai Sarla Comedy is very boring. If the original unnecessary workout but comedy tracks were removed.. it would have been a plus for the movie. Overall the horror scenes, although the plush bag elements in the second half are good, the rest of the content is flat.
Technical Department:
If we talk about the technical department.. the director Sundar should be the first to talk about it. About C’s directorial work.. He tried to tell some annoying scenes as comedy. And the cinematography is well set for this horror comedy movie. Also, the graphics done in the movie are also good. Background music provided by Hip Hop Tamil is good. In terms of editing the first half was a bit slow, the way the second half was cut was good. Producer Khushboo Sundar’s production values are good.
Verdict:
This horror revenge drama called ‘Bak’ has been very impressive in some places with some horror elements and some action episodes. Tamannaah – Raashi Khanna tried to raise the level of the film with their screen presence. If not a workout, the film lacks comedy tracks and routine horror elements. Overall, without much expectations.. this movie will connect some fun and horror elements.
