Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition Launching Soon –What to Expect?

Mahindra & Mahindra is set to introduce a special edition of its highly popular XUV700 SUV lineup in India. Prior to its official unveiling, brochure scans of the limited edition have been leaked online. According to the leaked scans, the Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition will feature a unique Matte Blaze Red color scheme. The contrasting Napoli Black roof, black alloy wheels, blacked-out B, C, and D pillars, and black ORVMs (Outside Rearview Mirrors) enhance its sporty appearance.

The interior will adopt a black-and-red theme. The Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition will feature an all-black interior with contrasting red accents around the AC vents, center console, and red stitching on the seat upholstery. Further details on the new XUV700 Blaze Edition are limited at this time.

However, the upcoming special edition is likely to be based on the higher trims and could come with features such as a dual 10.25-inch screen setup (one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a wireless charger, leatherette upholstery, an air purifier, power mirrors, A and C-Type USB ports, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, drive modes, cornering lamps, dual-zone climate control, electronic parking brake, and auto-folding mirrors. The new Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition could be offered with both the 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine and the 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 200bhp with 380Nm of torque, while the diesel engine has two states of tune—155bhp with 360Nm and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450Nm (AT).

The four drive modes—Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom—are available exclusively with the diesel engine. These modes affect the steering response and overall performance of the vehicle. Both engine options are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The XUV700 model lineup features an all-wheel drive (AWD) setup as standard.
