Manjummel Boys is the biggest box office blockbuster of all time in Malayalam cinema and the film has now debuted on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is riding on the blockbuster run from the theatrical run.
Coming to the OTT reception, the film is drawing a polar response. While certain people opine it is a brilliant film, a section feels it is another survival thriller.
But what’s for certain is that the film is spurring discussions on the social space. The clippings from the rescue sequences and the friendship tracks are working big time.
Apart from that, the original group involved with the actual incident and their pics and videos are tending big time.
Disney+ Hotstar must be happy with the fact that the film is anyway sparking conversations and that’s the most important thing for them to generate viewership.
It is true that certain people are calling this film overrated but what must be understood is that Telugu audience wouldn’t have as much connect with the story as Mallu and Tamil audience as the real events happened in Tamil Nadu and involved Mallu people.
