The highly anticipated fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is set to make its official debut tomorrow, 9th May 2024. Pre-bookings for the new Swift have already begun, with a booking fee of Rs 11,000. The new 2024 Maruti Swift will undergo comprehensive changes and is expected to be available in five trims: LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+.
One of the most significant changes in the new Maruti Swift is the addition of Suzuki’s new 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine, which produces 82PS and 112Nm of torque. This new engine will also offer a mild hybrid technology option, enhancing both power and fuel efficiency. The car will come with both manual and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearboxes. There is speculation that Maruti Suzuki might introduce a CNG fuel option for the 2024 Swift, but this could happen at a later stage.
Inside the cabin, the major highlight is a new and larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, similar to the one seen in the Fronx. The cabin will also feature an updated climate control panel, a redesigned dashboard with central AC vents, an automatic air conditioning unit, a wireless phone charger, a push-button start/stop system, and cruise control. The design of the 2024 Maruti Swift will also see significant updates. The front fascia will have a completely redesigned grille, new projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a revised bumper, and sleeker LED fog lamp assemblies. The rear door handles will revert to a conventional setup, departing from the C-pillar integrated handles of the current model. Unlike the current generation with 15-inch alloy wheels, the new Swift will feature 16-inch alloy wheels on the higher trims. The rear section will have wraparound LED taillights and a revised bumper for a fresh look.
The new 2024 Maruti Swift prices are expected to be slightly higher than the current model, which ranges from Rs 6.24 lakh to Rs 9.28 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
