This World Asthma Day, SAVA Healthcare Limited (SHL), a nasal spray and healthcare segment, has launched a QR-coded awareness campaign across four countries- Nepal, Kenya, Uzbekistan, and Yemen. Starting May 7, the campaign will run for one week, aiming to educate individuals about asthma prevention and treatment.
As part of the campaign, SHL has collaborated with over 300 pulmonologists and chest physicians in more than 500 hospitals and clinics across four countries.

In line with the theme of the year titled, ‘Asthma Education Empowers’, a QR code has been placed at the hospitals and doctors’ clinics to provide easy access to basic preventive information about asthma. Additionally, a tutorial on how to use a DPI (Dry Powder Inhaler) machine will be made available through this QR code.

According to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), Asthma is one of the most common chronic non-communicable diseases that affects over 260 million people and is responsible for over 4,50,000 deaths each year worldwide, most of which are preventable. Nepal is the second highest country which alone accounts for more than 100 deaths per 1,00,000 every year.
Recently, SAVA Healthcare forayed into the Nepal market with a range of the latest DPI products that offer rapid onset of action in conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
