Usually, politically motivated films get limited patronage. They’re only carried by the concerned batches. But if a film of this genre strike a chord with the wider audiences, then the opposite batch must take this seriously.
In the case of Vivekam, a murder drama based on the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy, the film is trending big time on social media.
According to the latest reports, Vivekam film has clocked over 2.1 crore views on YouTube. The film is streaming on 55 different channels, say reports.
The wide reception the film is getting on YouTube is being seen as a reflection of the wide acceptance that it is getting.
Needless to say, this wide reach must be hitting YCP group where it hurts the most as Sharmila and Sunitha are already bombarding that Jagan and Avinash are backing the murderers in the Viveka case.
Incidentally, the YCP group already approached the Election Commission saying the film must be taken down as it shows YCP and its head Jagan in poor light. But with the complaint not resulting in the removal of the film on YouTube, YCP is said to be agitated about the same.
The wide reach of the film before the polls could spell bad news for YCP and the more reach this film gets, the more shivering the YCP group must go through, commented a netizen.
