The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has chosen Venigandla Ramu, an NRI, as their candidate to contest against the four-time MLA Kodali Nani, from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), setting the stage for a tough competition in the Gudivada Assembly constituency in the upcoming AP elections.
Gudivada holds significance in Andhra Pradesh, notably because TDP’s founder and former chief minister, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), won twice from this constituency in 1983 and 1985.
Popular social media star, Kumari Aunty, actively campaigned in Gudivada town in support of the TDP candidate Venigandla Ramu, emphasizing the importance of the NDA alliance’s victory in preventing injustices.
During her campaign, Kumari Aunty compared Venigandla Ramu to the character Mahesh Babu portrayed in the movie Maharshi. Kumari Aunty said that Venigandla Ramu is kind-hearted, just like the character Mahesh Babu played in the movie Maharshi.
She believes that like the character who helps people in the movie, Ramu does the same in real life, highlighting his dedication to serving the people of Gudivada, where development has been lacking over the past 15 years.
She emphasized how important Venigandla Ramu is for improving Gudivada, especially for creating jobs. She mentioned that in the past, under Kodali Nani’s leadership, there was neglect, and people like her had to go to neighboring states for a livelihood. But she believes in Ramu’s plans to give jobs to educated people.
Kumari Aunty asked people to vote for Venigandla Ramu using the cycle symbol for MLA and Vallabhaneni Balashowry using the glass symbol for MP. She stressed that supporting the NDA alliance is crucial for improving Gudivada and helping its residents.
