The Delhi Police on Monday said AAP Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal made two calls to the Police Control Room alleging assault at the Chief Minister’s house in Civil Lines.
DCP (North) Manoj Meena said, “Swati Maliwal called the PCR at 9.34 am stating that she has been attacked at CM House. She came to the Civil Lines Police Station and left without giving a complaint. She said she would file a complaint later.”
Maliwal could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.
Two daily diary entries have been made regarding the PCR call.
The first one says Maliwal named two people in connection to the assault.
The second entry reads, “A woman caller is saying that she has come to the CM house. He has got his PA Bibhav Kumar to assault me.”
Maliwal was nominated as Rajya Sabha MP by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in January.
According to AAP sources, Maliwal had gone to the CM House at around 9 am on Monday to meet Kejriwal. “She was asked to wait. After some time, an altercation ensued and she called the PCR,” said a party leader.
The AAP has not responded to questions regarding the incident officially.
