Andhra Pradesh has completed its battleground setup for the epic election, and as everyone expected, this election has been one of the most intense fights in AP’s history.
The spirit shown by AP voters is beyond words, and we are still waiting for the final official voting percentage, as some booths continue to report results even past midnight.
However, one aspect that has impressed everyone is the dedication NRIs have shown in voting in this election.
Thousands of NRIs have traveled back to AP, taking breaks from work, spending their own money on expensive flight tickets, and managing the responsibilities of family members and young children.
A deep sense of ‘concern’ has emerged among NRIs, driving them to travel all the way to their home state to vote. They have been closely monitoring how the state has suffered since its division and how it has become a capital-less city in the last five years under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule.
CM Jagan himself speaks “Button nokkudu” in every other word, and how the state has become a victim of vendetta politics with absolutely zero development has created a sense of concern for their home state.
It is no exaggeration to say that this may be the first time Andhra Pradesh has witnessed such a large number of NRIs returning to vote.
