The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has finally been revealed via new leaked images, offering the clearest view yet of the bike’s production-ready version. Following the RE Himalayan 450it will be the second model to underpin the 452cc platform and feature the brand’s Sherpa 450 engine. The fresh set of images reveals the main frame and subframe of the bike along with conventional telescopic front forks with gaiters, a single-piece seat, and a typical roadster-like handlebar.
The panniers and mount luggage of the new RE Guerrilla 450 appear similar to the Himalayan 450. However, it features fatter road-biased tubeless tyres and smaller wheels. In fact, its fuel tank looks different from its 450cc sibling. The bike carries a round LED headlamp and ORVMs but misses out on the front beak and windshield. Its footpegs and wide handlebar seem borrowed from the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
In addition to these design elements, the upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will share its engine with the RE Himalayan 450. That means it will source power from a 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine capable of producing 40.02PS and 40Nm of torque. The bike will get a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch and ride-by-wire throttle.
Once launched, the new RE Guerrilla 450 will directly rival the Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, and KTM 390 Duke. Its official launch date is yet to be announced, though the bike is likely to hit showrooms in the next couple of months. It’s estimated to be priced around Rs 2.6 lakh for the base variant.
The Chennai-based bikemaker is also working on a 350cc bobber named the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350. It will have a single-seat setup with a detachable pillion perch, ape-hanger handlebar, and whitewall tires. Based on the 350cc J-platform, the RE Goan Classic 350 will share its engine with the Classic 350. However, the company might make small changes to its gearing or mapping.
