Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy
The Lok Sabha elections are a referendum for our rule in the state so far. The BJP also says that these are a referendum for Modi’s rule. Whether the BJP will implement its 75-year cap rule for posts on Modi is to be decided by that party. The INDI Alliance is certain to form the government at the Centre. No one is ready to support the NDA or the BJP if the BJP does not reach the magic figure. The BJP is only contesting in 336 seats, so how can it get 400 as the party claims? Modi, who was a CM for 13 years and PM for 10 years, has not understood the Constitution. There is an anti-Modi wave in the country. The Ministry of Home Affairs does not initiate action against BJP leaders when they violate the MCC, there is no action against Naveneet Kaur for her 15 seconds comment, but just because one video went viral the MHA steps in to take action against us. Farm loan waiver is not an impossible task and we will do it before August 15. BJP is seeking to disturb law and order in the state and steal investments away and take them to Gujarat. I have sympathy for KCR. He is under stress, and distress and is making comments, and he is beginning to sound like KA Paul.
BRS president and former CM K Chandrashekar Rao
Regional parties will have a major role to play after the elections at the Centre. I expect voting to be between 65 and 70 per cent in the state. According to BJP’s own rule, after 75 years nobody should take up any positions, so accordingly, Modi will have to step down. There is nothing like this block or that block (on existing political alliances). It will be regional parties that will come to power.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao
The Telangana government is making great efforts to ensure no power cuts at polling stations and has stationed generators. I voted for the leader who Telangana likes, you too should cast your vote. We should vote for the kind of leader who we want to represent us, vote for the kind of policies and government we would like to have. Hope people vote for those who have a vision and not hatred for this country. I voted for Telangana. Very confident that this will be the best tally ever for our party in Parliament elections.
BJP Hyderabad candidate K Madhavi Latha
It is the responsibility of everyone to go out and vote. Voting contributes to the nation and unity. Voting can lead to a ‘viksit Bharat’. Everyone’s support is there for everyone’s development, separate lives do not lead to development’.
AIMIM Hyderabad candidate Asaduddin Owaisi
You have to vote not for an individual. The message to anyone going out ot vote, forget about cult following, the country is bigger than any individual. Vote for our country. If you have faith in democracy and love India and want to see the country strong, and a country that hears the voices of the poor, then you must vote. On what his message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi is, people do not agree with Modi’s statements on the minority community and BJP’s ideology. Peole who do not agree with BJP’s ideology and with the venomous statements the PM has given about one particular minority community and non-performance of his government. What he has done with Agniveer, he will do if he comes back to power he will do with BSF, CRPF, RPF and SSP. Four years of service and you are out. People must understand that it will come out very soon.
G Kishan Reddy, BJP state president and Secunderabad BJP candidate
Our expectations are that Modi will be PM again. Modi and Shah impact strong in Telangana. With the blessing of the people I will be MP again from Secunderabad and serve the people. Everyone should go and vote. PM says this is festival of democracy, everyone should take part in this. Today is not just a holiday, vote first and then enjoy the holiday. Vote for development of the country, for pride, for strong defence, select a good candidate. Today the weather is cool, this is a blessing, people should come and vote.
