Apart from this, I complained about a minor buzzing noise & plasticky rubbing sound from the steering column while going over concrete roads. They checked but could not isolate the source of the sound as there was nothing wrong with the functionality of the steering or any clearances. Will be keeping an eye on it to see if it increases.

The airflow direction adjustor of the driver’s side central A/C vent got broken and the ACC panel got cracked at the lower center after I accidentally hit it with my mobile phone while connecting it to the charging cable. The A/C vent became unusable and the ACC panel, because of the cracked plastic, developed an irritating vibration sound. It also had a few scratches on the display and the silver paint too had started coming off at a few places, So I decided to get them both replaced. Both parts were ordered by United Toyota, and it took three days for the parts to arrive( including a holiday in between).

Costs

Parts – ACC panel(Part No. A-55900-WC001 : Control, AC)- Rs 6774.88, Central A/C Vent (Part No. A-55670-WC001 : Register, IP Panel.3) – Rs 198.40

The lifetime Average FE figure has dropped slightly(17.01 at 60k service v/s 17.10 at 50k service) and the car also recorded its worst FE figures of 14.91 km/l during this period.
