Rahul Vijay – Shivani Rajasekhar starrer Vidya Vasula Aham released today directly on the Aha OTT platform. And do you like this web film? or ? Let’s find out in our review.

Story:

The film is set in Vizag. Vidya (Shivani Rajasekhar), a confident girl, searches for her partner with high standards. She is also convincing her parents that she will marry the groom who clears her exams. In this sequence Vasu (Rahul Vijay) comes into her life. He is a mechanical engineer. Vidya – Vasu will get married happily. However, as time passes, their egos affect their relationship and bond. How did this story end amid some dramatic developments in this sequence? That’s the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Rahul Vijay has done full justice to his role. In some scenes he showed full energy according to his role. Also, Rahul Vijay entertained well with good comedy timing. Shivani Rajasekhar also impressed by giving a satisfactory performance with a touch of glamour. Her character portrayal is also good.

All in all the young couple fit their roles perfectly. And some scenes also increase the attraction of the movie. In addition, the music is also well done at some places. Avrasala Srinivas, Abhinaya and Srinivas Reddy are convincing in their roles. Also, Ravi Varma Adduri, Kashi Vishwanath, Roopa Lakshmi, Rajshree Nair and the rest of the cast also did full justice to their roles.

Minus Points:

After reading the above plot and watching the trailer online, the plot of the film as well as the screenplay goes as expected. If the same simple story was added, stronger scenes between the hero and heroines and interesting dialogues were inserted… this movie would have been a plus. But the director could not elevate this movie in that way.

On the other hand, while Rahul Vijay’s performance is satisfactory, there are also instances where he looks hyperactive and contrived. Unfortunately, the supporting cast is also limited to limited screen space. Due to this, even their acting performances could not add to the story.

All in all, the ego between the main characters and the events in their lives because of that ego failed the director to make effective use of them. Despite its short runtime, the film failed to impress due to its sluggish screenplay and poorly written dialogues.

Technical Department:

Director Manikant Gelli chose a good point and a talented lead pair but could not write a more compelling screenplay. And Kalyani Malik’s music is good. But his music is not memorable. Some scenes could have been edited better by Sathya Giduthuri. Akhil Valloori’s cinematography and production values are satisfactory.

Verdict:

Overall, though the lead actors in this film are entertaining, this Vidya Vasula Aham film is a disappointment. Poor story and narration let the movie down. Apart from this, unnecessary scenes, weak treatment and insipid dialogues hurt the outcome of the film. Overall this movie is not impressive.
