Generally, we see leaders spending crores of rupees on election campaigns and trying to lure voters with money and alcohol.
However, TDP leader SVSN Sharma stated that they spent only Rs. 45 lakhs on Pawan Kalyan’s campaign in Pithapuram and didn’t bribe voters with money or alcohol.
Speaking to the media today, Sharma said that YCP leaders, including their leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, relied on money and alcohol to win elections. He claimed that YCP spent around Rs. 2 crores just on alcohol distribution in the Pithapuram constituency.
“Jagan Mohan Reddy thinks elections can be won with money and alcohol. Whatever Pawan Kalyan Garu has earned, it was through his hard work in films. But Jagan Mohan Reddy earned his money through the ganja business, liquor business, and sand mafia,” stated Sharma.
He added that they conducted their campaign in Pithapuram within the expense limit set by the Election Commission.
He said that the alliance spent only Rs. 45 lakhs on the elections and didn’t lure voters with any bribes. They focused on reaching out to the public with their manifesto and promised a better future.
Sharma also challenged anyone to inquire about their spending if they had doubts. He said that the Pithapuram election is a “demo project” of how an election can be conducted without illegal spending.
Sharma expressed confidence in Pawan’s victory, stating that all TDP votes went to Pawan and he would achieve the highest majority in the state.
