SBI Launches Cybercrimes Awareness Drive

Hyderabad: The State Bank of India (SBI)’s Hyderabad circle launched a drive create awareness about reporting cybercrimes to the helpline number 1930 or on the website www.cybercrime.gov.in.

Cybercrimes can also be reported to social media handles of I-4C (Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre) including ‘Cyberdost’ on Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, X, YouTube, Telegram, LinkedIn, Koo, ShareChat and Public.

The awareness drive was launched via the flagging off of a publicity vehicle from SBI’s local head office at Koti by General Managers Manju Sharma (NW-1), Debashish Mitra (NW-2) and A.K. Sarathy.

The vehicle would go around the city promoting the awareness on cybersecurity measures and the use of helpline 1930.

Speaking on the occasion, Manju Sharma emphasized the need for creating the awareness to avert cyberfrauds.

SBI, Hyderabad circle, in a press release also said that, understanding the importance of cybersecurity can help prevent data breaches, identity theft, and other cybercrimes. It’s not just about protecting sensitive information, but also about safeguarding our digital infrastructure. Cyber threats can disrupt businesses, compromise national security, and even impact the economy.
