Mahindra Scorpio N Adventure Edition Revealed – What’s So Special?

Mahindra & Mahindra recently introduced a special edition of its highly popular Scorpio N SUV in the South African market. Called the Mahindra Scorpio N Adventure Edition, this limited-unit model is based on the top-end Z8 4WD trim and comes with the 2.2L mHawk diesel engine. The engine, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD drivetrain system, delivers a claimed power of 172bhp and 400Nm of torque.

So, what’s special about the new Mahindra Scorpio N Adventure Edition? The SUV’s special edition receives a few cosmetic enhancements over the regular model. Its front and rear bumpers appear different from their standard counterparts, improving its approach and departure angles. Furthermore, the newly-designed 18-inch alloy wheels with high-profile all-terrain tires enhance its rugged looks and off-road capabilities. The special edition also features a roof rack painted in black.

As the new Mahindra Scorpio N Adventure Edition is based on the higher Z8 4WD trim, it offers all the premium features, including leatherette interiors, push-button start, power folding wing mirrors, passive keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, a 7.0-inch multi-info display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, drive modes, connected car technology, an 8-inch infotainment system with Amazon Alexa, a sunroof, electronic stability control, hill hold control, hill descent control, cruise control, and more.

In India, the Mahindra Scorpio N is currently available in 34 variants, priced from Rs 13.85 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier this year, the automaker trademarked the Mahindra Scorpio X nameplate, likely to be used for the new Scorpio N-based pickup – the Global Pik UP concept. This lifestyle pickup truck, designed at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS), uses the Green II all-aluminum mHawk diesel engine, with both manual and automatic gearbox options. The pickup also features 4WD capability along with shift-on-the-fly functionality.
