It is well known that young director Prashanth Varma is planning a big ticket Hindi film with B-town superstar Ranveer Singh and discussions are underway. “Ranveer Singh is not essaying the role of a superhero, rather he would be donning a very different and challenging role,’ says a source. Probably, the news about ‘Padmavati’ star donning superhero roles would have cropped up because Prashanth Varma is known for his fascination for superhero themes. “No doubt, Prashanth Varma likes to dish out superhero movies but for Ranveer Singh he has sketched a larger-than-life role which will be close to reality and fits into present times,” he adds.
After gaining pan-India recognition with blockbuster ‘HanuMan’, Prashanth is trying to make some space in Bollywood. “He has met a couple of Bollywood stars and discussed a few story ideas to make a mark in the Hindi film industry sooner than later,” he points out. He claims that Prashanth has a story bank of sorts and has developed varied stories. “He has a big creative team and they have already read 8 to 10 stories of different genres and for different actors,” he informs.
However, B-town hunk Ranveer would be joining hands with a Telugu director to do a different kind of a film, away from his usual lover boy and action roles. “Ranveer is game for variety and Prashanth is willing to break new ground, so their combination would create ripples in the days to come,” he concludes.
