New Delhi : Debt-ridden Vodafone-Idea has faced huge losses at the end of the June quarter of the current financial year. The company posted a loss of Rs 7,675 crore in the last quarter of the financial year. The company had reported a loss of Rs 6,419 crore in the same quarter last year. The increase in interest and financing costs has increased the company’s expenses. Vodafone-Idea was once the company with the largest number of subscribers in the country in the midst of a merger.

The company posted a loss of Rs 31,238.4 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2024, as against Rs 29,301.1 crore a year ago. There has been disappointment on the revenue front as well, with marginal growth in the previous quarter. It rose marginally to Rs 10,606 crore from Rs 10,531 crore in the same quarter last year. Vodafone-Idea’s revenue per customer increased by 7.6 percent to Rs 146 during March 2024. 135 in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal. Last month, Vodafone-Idea raised Rs 18,000 crore through a share sale.
