Bangalore: The sleuths of City Crime Branch (CCB) widened the probe into the rave party that was busted in GR farmhouse in the early hours of Monday, laying more emphasis on how a car bore the MLA sticker of Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kakani Goverdhan Reddy.
On Friday, Reddy told media persons that he had already requested the Bangalore police to enquire as to how the vehicle that was registered in the name of T Venkateswara Rao got the MLA sticker. Sources said the CCB police detained a person identified as Poorna Reddy, who allegedly used the vehicle with the sticker.
When the police raided the farmhouse, Poorna Reddy managed to escape from the spot. Investigators said the two arrested persons – Ranadhir Babu and Arun Kumar allegedly played a crucial role in the party in addition to one Vasu who hosted it inviting several people from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana apart from those residing in Bangalore.
The rave party organized at GR farmhouse at Hebbagodi was busted by the Electronic City police and named over 100 to 150 unknown persons as accused in the case. The sleuths of City Crime Branch (CCB) raided the party hosted in the name of “Vasu’s Birthday” and subtitled “Sunset to Sunrise” and seized cocaine, ‘ecstasy’ and MDMA pills and other narcotic substances.
