Hyderabad: Team India star batsman Virat Kohli is yet to join the World Cup squad in New York while Rohit Sharma and other members have reached the US five days ago.
Vice-Captain Hardik Pandya, who was not with the team on their arrival had joined them yesterday making Virat Kohli the only player from the World Cup squad missing in the USA.
Kohli along with wife Anushka Sharma were spotted having dinner with Zaheer Khan-Sagarika Ghatge in Mumbai on Tuesday.
As Team India had already started their training for the World Cup, fans worried over Virat’s absence.
But where is Kohli
According to reports, Virat Kohli had requested the BCCI for an extended break after he played his last IPL match on May 22. He had won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in the tournament.
Earlier, reports suggested that the board scheduled his visa for May 30 and the star batter will be with the team by Thursday noon, but fresh reports now claim that he will reach the states on Friday.
Virat, however, will miss the first and only practice match of the team with Bangladesh on Saturday, stated the reports.
