Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Thursday said that the academic year 2024-25 for all junior colleges in the state will start on June 1.
In a press release, the board directed all principals and managements of junior colleges to strictly implement the academic calendar. The directive applies to both general and vocational junior colleges in order to ensure a uniform academic schedule.
According to the schedule that has been released by the board, the academic calendar will have 227 working days and 77 holidays, including Sundays and festive breaks. Dasara holidays will be from October 19 to 25.
The half-yearly examinations will be held from November 20 to 25. Sankranti holidays would be from January 13 to 16, 2025.
The pre-final examinations will be from January 22 to 29.
The practical examinations for Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2025 will be in the second week of February. The theory examinations are tentatively scheduled for the first week of March. The academic year will officially end on March 31.
