Upcoming Bajaj CNG Bike Could Be Named ‘Bajaj Fighter’

Bajaj Auto recently trademarked the “Bajaj Fighter” nameplate, following the ‘Bajaj Bruzer’. As of now, there is no official word on which name will be used for the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike and a new adventure motorcycle. The two-wheeler maker has already confirmed plans for 5 to 6 CNG bike launches (one product every year), which are currently in their development phase. All these models will be based on the same platform. Bajaj’s first CNG bike is slated to go on sale on 18th June 2024.

The upcoming Bajaj CNG bike (Bruzer or Fighter), which has been caught testing multiple times, is likely to come with a 110cc-125cc engine paired with a CNG kit. It will also have a small fuel tank for emergency purposes. Suspension duties are likely to be carried out by the conventional telescopic fork and monoshock rear unit. Stopping power will come from the front disc and rear drum brakes. The CNG bike might be assembled with 17-inch front and rear wheels.

The spy images reveal that the new Bajaj Fighter or Bruzer will have a boxy body built with a round headlamp, braced handlebar, and a long single-piece seat. The CNG kit will be placed just beneath the seat.

When launched, the new Bajaj Fighter CNG bike won’t have any direct rivals. However, it will take on the TVS Radeon, Hero Splendor Plus, and Honda Shine 100 in terms of pricing. Its prices are likely to start from Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom).

The second upcoming Bajaj CNG bike will be a slightly more premium offering than the first one. That means it will have more features on board. Rajiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director of Bajaj Capital Ltd., confirmed that the new Bajaj CNG bikes will have new technology on offer and won’t be as affordable as the electric scooters currently available in the market.

More details on the upcoming Bajaj CNG bikes will be revealed in the near future. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
