The polling process of the Indian General Elections is coming to an end, with the last phase happening tomorrow. The counting will be held and the results will be declared on June 4.
The Election Commission in Andhra Pradesh is making necessary arrangements for the counting process. Precautions are being taken to ensure a smooth counting process at all centres.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) has placed special focus on the Kadapa district. There is strong surveillance on individuals who stirred up violence during the elections and polling. Officials have also directed known rowdy sheeters to leave the district until the counting is complete.
The EC took action against 53 rowdy sheeters who may cause trouble during the counting and the announcement of results.

From this evening, 21 rowdy sheeters have been expelled from the district. They have been ordered not to come back until June 7, when the election process is concluded. Additionally, 32 other rowdy sheeters have been placed under house arrest until the counting is finished.
The Election Commission has deployed heavy security throughout the district to ensure a smooth counting process and to prevent any violent incidents.

Kadapa district features some notable constituencies, including Chief Minister Jagan’s Pulivendula. On top of that, Jagan’s sister, YS Sharmila, is contesting against their cousin, YS Avinash Reddy, for the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency.
Predicting that there will be potential conflicts between leaders of different parties, the Election Commission and the Police Department have put special attention on Kadapa.
