In order to commemorate its 30th anniversary, Hero MotoCorp has introduced the new Splendor Xtec+ 2.0 at Rs 82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the Splendor Xtec, the new model is nearly Rs 3,000 more expensive. A few significant changes have been made to the bike. Let’s take a look at what they are.
– The new Hero Splendor Xtec+ 2.0 is the first vehicle in its segment to come with a full LED headlight with integrated H-shaped LED DRLs. It also has H-shaped taillamps along with revised turn indicators, a hazard light, and a dedicated switch. The new body graphics further distinguish it from its predecessor.
– Unlike the previous version, the updated Splendor+ Xtec 2.0 comes in three new dual-tone colour options – Gloss Red, Gloss Black, and Matte Grey.
– In terms of features, the new Hero Splendor+ Xtec 2.0 offers the same full LED instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike gets a USB charging port. Features such as an idle stop-start system (i3S), a side stand engine cut-off feature, and an electric starter have been retained from the previous version.
– No changes have been made to its engine. The 2024 Splendor+ Xtec 2.0 derives power from the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The motor delivers a claimed power of 8.02PS at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm at 6,000rpm. The bike continues to offer a mileage of 73kmpl.
– The updated Splendor+ Xtec comes with 80/100-18M/C 47P front tubeless tyres and 80/100-18M/C 54P rear tubeless tyres. Its suspension setup consists of the same conventional telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and a swingarm with 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers. The bike sources its stopping power from the 130mm front drum brake and 130mm rear brake.
In the 100-110cc commuter segment, Hero’s new Splendor+ Xtec 2.0 will continue to take on the Hero Passion Plus, Honda Shine 100, and TVS Radeon.
