Hyderabad: Bomb hoax has become one of the most used terms in headlines in the recent past, adding to the list now is the Srinagar-bound Vistara flight that had received a hoax bomb threat call on Friday.
A Vistara flight with 177 passengers and an infant was bound to Srinagar from Delhi. A hoax bomb threatening call was received by the authorities before the flight had landed safely in Srinagar. The authorities had alerted the concerned officials promptly.
The flight was then taken into an isolation bay and all the passengers were disembarked safely.
The officials after thorough inspection said that the threat was unreliable and a hoax, the flight was also cleared to resume operations.
Meanwhile, there was a delay in operations at the Srinagar airport for an hour following the threatening call.
