Hyderabad: The chief electoral officer (CEO) Vikas Raj on Saturday said that counting of votes of Lok Sabha elections would be held at 34 locations where 120 counting halls have been arranged for smooth conduct of the counting process on June 4.
Speaking to mediapersons, the CEO said that no mobile phone would be allowed inside the counting hall and a media centre would be set up at every counting hall to declare the results officially. The counting process would start at 8 am with counting of postal ballots taken up first.
Around 1,200 staff have been deployed at 15 counting centers in Hyderabad district. A three-layered security arrangement will be in place at the counting centers.
Hyderabad district electoral officer (DEO) Ronald Rose, briefing the media after inspecting the counting centre at Nizam College, said that the highest number of EVM counting rounds will be in Yakutpura Assembly constituency (24) and the least being in Charminar (15).
Counting of postal ballots will take place at separate counting halls in the presence of returning officers, Rose said.
