Official: Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan to go head to head with NTR’s Devara

Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest release, Lal Salaam, was a forgettable outing. His next release will be Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame. The film also has Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh in crucial roles. The massive star cast is one reason for the craze around the movie.
The Vettaiyan team has already stated that the movie will hit the big screens in October. Now Rajinikanth himself has revealed that Vettaiyan will be released on October 10th. In a spiritual conversation, Rajini revealed the release date of this commercial entertainer. Rajini further added that he completed his portions for Vettaiyan and that the post-production works are going on.
Interestingly, NTR and Koratala Siva’s PAN Indian action drama Devara: Part 1 is also scheduled for release on the same date. Devara is NTR’s second collaboration with the director, and the movie will have a massive amount of VFX. It is one of the most anticipated projects of Tollywood, and indeed, there will be a dent in the collections of Vettaiyan and Devara if they arrive on the same date.
