The stone pelting incident involving YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stirred up a storm in Andhra Pradesh politics. Initially, Jagan sported a small circular band-aid, but after being taken to a government hospital, doctors applied a larger bandage on his forehead.
Jagan continued to wear the large bandage, even covering his eyebrow, which seemed quite inconvenient. It was apparent that he aimed to garner sympathy from the public.

Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and even Y. S. Sharmila Reddy consistently referred to it as the ‘Gulaka Rayi’ incident thereafter. Jagan tried to cash in on the injury and gain sympathy votes in the assembly election.
However, the public saw through the ploy and voted out Jagan and his party from Andhra Pradesh in the assembly elections.

TDP’s social media handle posted a tweet mocking Jagan, showing a picture of him with the large bandage, alongside the drastic drop in seats his party experienced, captioning it “Public’s Script #EndOfYCP”.
The tweet has been widely shared and applauded as the massiest troll on Jagan and his party YSRCP.
