Hyundai Motor India currently has five SUVs in its product portfolio: Exter, Venue, Creta, Alcazar, and Tucson. Aiming to strengthen its market position in the SUV segment, the South Korean automaker plans to update three of its existing SUVs (Alcazar, Tucsonand Venue) and introduce the electric Creta in early 2025. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift will feature minimal changes inside and out while retaining the existing engine setup. Multiple spy images have shown the test mule with a front radar, confirming the presence of an ADAS suite. The SUV will sport redesigned LED headlamps with a split setup, slightly updated bumpers, and a new set of alloy wheels. Inside, the updated Alcazar will boast a dual-screen setup, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a blind spot monitor, an electrically adjustable driver seat, and an electronic parking brake. Under the hood, the SUV will continue with the 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and 116bhp, 1.5L diesel engines.
2024 Hyundai Tucson Facelift
The 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift will undergo significant design updates, incorporating the brand’s parametric dynamics design language. It will feature a new front grille, headlamps, and alloy wheels, with minimal upgrades inside the cabin. The new Tucson might be offered with the new 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine while retaining the existing 2.0L diesel motor.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue and Creta EV
The new-generation Hyundai Venue and Creta EV will arrive in 2025. Details about the all-new Venue are scant at this point. However, the subcompact SUV is likely to receive comprehensive changes in terms of design and features. The Hyundai Creta EVbased on the SUV’s facelifted version, is expected to borrow its powertrain from the global-spec Kona EV, which is available with a 45kWh battery pack and an electric motor. The Creta EV is expected to have a range of around 400-500km.
