Tata Altroz Racer Prices Start at Rs 9.49 Lakh; Undercuts i20 N Line

Prices of the Tata Altroz Racer have finally been revealed for the Indian market. The sportier version of the hatchback comes in three variants: R1, R2, and R3, priced at Rs 9.49 lakh, Rs 10.49 lakh, and Rs 10.99 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. At this price point, the new Racer edition of the Altroz directly competes with the Hyundai i20 N Line, which costs between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12.52 lakh. The entry-level and top-end variants of the Altroz Racer are nearly Rs 50,000 and Rs 1.52 lakh more affordable than their respective rival variants of the i20 N Line.

Dimensionally, the new Altroz Racer is slightly shorter and narrower than the Hyundai i20 N Line. The new model measures 3990mm in length, 1755mm in width, and 1523mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2501mm.

Tata Altroz ​​Racer Price

The biggest highlight of the Tata Altroz Racer is its 120bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Its torque output stands at 170Nm. Its archrival, the Hyundai i20 N Line, comes with a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 120bhp and 172Nm of torque. The Altroz Racer is the first vehicle in its segment to come with a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and a voice-assisted sunroof. The sportier version also features a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a new operating system and a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Electronic stability control and six airbags are standard safety features on the Racer. Red highlights around the gear lever on the center console, AC vents, and leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching further differentiate it from the regular model.

The new Tata Altroz Racer is available in three paint schemes: Pure Grey, Avenue White, and Atomic Orange. It has a contrasting black finish with white racing stripes running along the bonnet and roof. The front fenders feature ‘Racer’ badging, and its front grille is slightly different from the regular Altroz.
