Hyderabad: The Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, who conducted an inspection at Harita Taramati Baradari Resort on Friday, expressed his dissatisfaction over maintenance of resorts and directed the Tourism department officials to take immediate measures to make affordable for customers in generating good income sources to the state government.
The Minister expressed his dissatisfaction with the management of the green resort. The officials were directed to immediately take up the repairs of potholes near the entrance, remove the garbage and complete the work immediately to ensure a pleasant atmosphere. The Minister inquired about the staff working at the premises.
Due to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) being in force, they did not conduct a review of the Tourism, Excise and Cultural Departments. From now on, we will visit the field regularly. Government institutions will also be designed to compete with the private sector,” Minister said.
“We will focus on creating better facilities for tourists and visitors along with increasing government revenue. We design green hotels to provide a pleasant atmosphere. We will take tough decisions from now on. We asked the officials to change appearance in three to four months of resort,” Minister added.
