Venue for Naidu’s oath-taking ceremony changed to Gannavaram from Amaravati

VIJAYAWADA: The venue and muhurat for the oath-taking ceremony of Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu as chief minister was changed on Friday. The venue will be IT Park in Kesarapalli near Gannavaram airport and the time is 11.27 am on June 12.

Earlier, the TD decided to conduct the oath-taking ceremony in Amaravati, showing the party’s dedication to constructing a world-class capital there. But, sources said that the Vedic and almanac pundits suggested dropping the idea. The leaders then started the search for other suitable places.

On Friday, TD leaders led by state TD president K. Atchannaidu visited a site near AIIMS but it was found not suitable. They went to Gannavaram and examined another place but it also was unsuitable.

Further, the team examined the place at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram airport. The TD leaders then decided to arrange the swearing-in ceremony at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram airport. The shifting of materials to the site started on Friday evening.
