Indian fans in NY tell Afridi

Hyderabad: Pakistan star bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s casual stroll on a busy New York street turned into a fan meet up on Friday.

The left-handed pacer was exploring the popular ‘Times-Square’ all alone until a group of Indian Cricket fans decided to join him. Afridi, interacted with the fans humbly as they took pictures with him and had a fun banter ahead of the T20 World Cup match with India on Sunday.

A fan from the group asked (jokingly) the pacer not to perform well against India, while another asked him to consider Virat and Rohit as his friends.

Meanwhile, Afridi struggled to find form in the match against the USA as he conceded 33 runs without picking up any wickets. The left-handed fast bowler is a key player in the Pakistan side, he had earlier dismissed key Indian batters including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

The men-in-Blue will take on the men-in-green at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.
