Telangana Govt Establishes First Real Estate Appellate Tribunal

Hyderabad: After the formation of the state, the Telangana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal has been formed for the first time.

Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy (retd) has been appointed chairperson of the Telangana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal. Pradeep Kumar Reddy Palle, advocate, is judicial member and Chitra Ramchandran, a former IAS officer, is the technical and administrative member.

The members of the committee assumed charge on Sunday and held a meeting with the members of Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA). If a person is not satisfied with the judgment of the TGRERA, he can approach the appellate tribunal.

However, a portion of the penalty levied by TGRERA has to be deposited before the complainant approaches the tribunal. If the complainant is not satisfied with the tribunal’s judgment, she can approach the High Court or Supreme Court.
