The new 2024 Isuzu MU-X three-row SUV has been revealed with redesigned front fascia, slightly updated interior, and a few technological upgrades. The model lineup also receives a new RS variant featuring sportier design elements. However, the SUV retains the ladder-frame chassis and engine setup. Talking about cosmetic changes, the new MU-X carries a larger front grille, sharper LED headlamps and a more pronounced bumper intakes.
The new RS variant, on the other hand, features a chrome-infused grille, front skid plate and garnish around the intakes, rear bumper extensions along with the centre caps and ‘RS’ monikers in lime green accents. It also comes with differently designed black 20-inch alloy wheels with matching finishes on the roof and fender flares. The rear section has been adorned with the full-width LED taillights and slightly revised rear bumper.
Interior has certainly been upgraded. The new 2024 Isuzu MU-X comes with a new 7-inch instrument cluster, an updated 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The SUV gets redesigned door cards and seats. The sportier RS variant is exclusively offered with the red ambient lighting and black inserts.
On the safety front, the new MUX offers updated ADAS suite with features such as blind spot monitoring, traffic jam assist, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and, rear cross traffic brake. There is a new surround view monitor on the central display providing access to watch the SUV’s flow while off-roading.
Powering the new 2024 Isuzu MU-X is the same 1.9L diesel and 3.0L diesel engines, producing 150PS and 190PS, respectively. Transmission duties are performed by a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The RS trim comes with the 4X4 drivetrain system.
Globally, the new Isuzu MU-X 7-seater SUV takes directly on the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Ford Everest. In Thai market, the SUV’s updated version has been priced from THB 1,184,000 to THB 1,759,000.
