But then, despite coming from an SC community, Anitha Vangalapudi, herself faced the SC-ST Atrocities Act case in a Kadapa police station and still goes to the Court there. Is something to be set right now?
Other day, Anitha got the portfolio of the Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and she’s elated with the move of CM Chandrababu Naidu and thanked Pawan Kalyan too for making the alliance win in the 2024 elections. However, she will not be exacting revenge for the wrongdoings of the previous YS Jagan regime. “I’m an ex-MLA and also a politburo member of a party, but the rulers back then never allowed me inside the DCP office, and when I was waiting to meet SP rank officers to complain against the atrocities of women, they made me meet an SI and Constable. Back then I vowed to come back to the DCP office with proper protocol and today I’m their Home Minister”, says Anitha.
“We won’t be taking revenge on those leaders and bureaucrats who have tortured the common public earlier. But then, we will surely teach them discipline and culture, because if we leave them unattended, they are likely to become a bigger threat” added Anitha. Back then, she vowed to look into the matter of Kodali Nani and Vijaysai Reddy in case she becomes Home Minister, and we have to see what happens now.
