Harom Hara losing steam, collections dip in AP/TG?

Hyderabad: No doubt, actor Sudheer Babu would be disappointed since his latest release ‘Harom Hara’ reportedly grossed Rs.1.80 crore in three days and it is losing steam and witnessing drop in collections. “It was made with over Rs 7 crores and it has to pick up faster,” says a distributor. Despite big promotions, the much-hyped action film ‘Harom Hara’ found it hard to draw in crowds. “Unnecessary overhype seems to have dented its commercial prospects. Despite making a ‘hatke’ film, audiences are not turning up theatres’ he adds. Director Gnanasagar Dwaraka’s dreary screenplay and over-the-top heroism have failed to impress, he added.

In the film, Sudheer Babu is nearly worshipped by the locals after he takes on the goons. “The period setting reminds us of big-ticket movies like ‘Pushpa” he adds. “Even the story smacks similarities with ‘KGF’ where an outsider becomes people’s savior. Here, it is the father, who encourages him to make a lot of money,’ he pointed out.

Sudheer Babu was looking fit and muscular and tried to salvage a contrived and larger-than-life plot but in vain. ‘Sudheer would be hoping that the collections would pick up this week since he pinned hopes on his action saga,’ he concluded.
