Brought home Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 L AT: Initial thoughts

I am not sure whether to keep or swap the stock tyres with something else. My driving will predominantly be in the city with occasional highway runs.

BHPian Stormbringer recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Took the AX5L AT Petrol (grey) delivery today.

Quick summary of my observations:

  • After quickly wrapping up the paperwork, we spent a good hour and a half inspecting the car and asking questions. We got a demo of all the features (they promised a home demo of Adrenox features after KYC is done which they estimated to be 3-4 days)
  • CarPlay, Alexa do not work yet. I got a text and email from Mahindra thanking me for my patience while they work through certifications (?!)
  • The car has Apollo ApterraCross tires and I’m still undecided on whether or not I should swap them out. My driving will predominantly be in the city with occasional highway drives. Would love feedback on these tires from other BHPians.
  • I got 7D floor mats, mud flaps, and door sill protectors installed. Fog lamps, parcel tray, and Seat covers are not in stock. Seat covers are awaiting ARAI clearance (airbag compatibility) and will probably take a couple of weeks.
  • I’m still undecided on PPF or ceramic. I will probably just get a ceramic coating done and pray the kids that play in the basement don’t scratch the car.
  • It was a very short drive back home (3 km) and I loved the way the car drove. I’ll post detailed feedback a few days later after clocking some km.
