Samsung’s QD-OLED panel makes its way into another Philips gaming monitor

Last year, Philips joined the bandwagon of brands launching gaming monitors with Samsung Display’s QD-OLED display panels by launching the Evnia 34M2C8600. Now, the company has launched a more affordable version of that model, the Evnia 34M2C6500, and it also uses Samsung Display’s QD-OLED display panel.

There are three differences between the Evnia 34M2C8600 and the Evnia 34M2C6500: The latter lacks the USB Type-C port with 90W power delivery, KVM switch, and 2x 10W speakers with DTS support that the former features. The remaining specifications of the Evnia 34M2C6500 are the same as the Evnia 34M2C8600.

That includes a 34-inch Samsung Display QD-OLED display panel with a 3,440 x 1,440 pixels resolution, 175Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, 10-bit color, HDR support with VESA Display HDR TrueBlack 400 certification, and 99.3% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The new model comes with the same height, tilt, and swivel-adjustable stand and a 3-year burn-in warranty as the costlier model.

With three fewer features, the Evnia 34M2C6500 costs EUR 799, which is EUR 100 less compared to the price of the Evnia 34M2C8600. In the UK, it comes with a price tag of £699.99. The new model is available to purchase in Europe and the UK from authorized retailers.
