Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu paid a visit to Amaravathi today and he got emotional, looking at the founding stone of capital city laid during his tenure ten years ago.

Later, he observed the region and other ruins of Praja Vedika. He then spoke to media and gave a briefing on way forward.
“Amaravathi is a self-financing project. I stressed this in the beginning as well. The revenue that get generated here will be utilised for the construction of the capital. We can also use the revenue to carry out welfare activities,” said Chandra Babu Naidu.

On the other hand, Chandra Babu also gave a new abbrevation to AP. He said, “AP stands for Amaravathi Polavaram. The farmers in Amaravathi region protested that the capital will be shifted from here. But, soon after the alliance has formed the government, they called off their protest, with a trust in us that we will develop the capital.”
“I thank all of them for their support and we will complete the construction of the capital city,” he stated.

“Polavaram was not developed by the previous YSRCP government. If utilised properly, the project will turn Rayalaseema green. With the funds from center, we will complete Polavaram,” said Chandrababu, sharing his vision in fast-tracking the development in Andhra Pradesh.
