Among the many short films that hit the theaters this week is the investigation thriller “Ninda” starring actor Varun Sandesh in the Rajesh Jagannath combination. Let’s see how this movie is in the review.
Story:
A girl named Munju from a village called Kandrakota is murdered. As it is proved in the court that Balaraju (Chhatrapati Shekhar) committed the murder, Judge Satyanand (Thanikella Bharani) hangs him even though he doesn’t like it. Why did Satyanand actually feel that way?, How did Satyanand believe that Balaraj did not commit murder?, What did his son Vivek (Varun Sandesh) do for the dead Satyanand?, Did Vivek, who is working as National Human Rights Commissioner, do justice to Balaraj? Or ?, How did this crime come to Balaraju (Chhatrapati Shekhar) ?, Who are the real accused? That is the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
This is a film that reinvents legal struggle. In addition to the realistic story, some scenes were interesting, and the interest in this Ninda movie increased in the beginning. If innocent people are punished unjustly, how will their lives be ruined? This movie is moving in an emotional way and is impressive at some places. The movie shows the behavior of some policemen and how they book innocent people under the pressure of some politicians.
And with his performance, Varun Sandesh gave the best performance in this film. He impresses with his trademark performance especially in some difficult emotional scenes. Also, Annie who played the lead role also acted very well. Tanikella Bharani, who played another key role, impressed with his performance. Chatrapathi Shekhar who played another key role also acted well. Bhadram, Surya Kumar, Maim Madhu, Siddharth Gollapudi and Arun Dalai impressed in the other lead roles. Also the screen presence of the rest of the actors and their performances are good.
Minus Points:
Although Rajesh Jagannadham’s directorial work is good, the film’s result was damaged as the script he took was not fully impressive. Although the film has good points to make, many sequences are not interesting. Most of the second half of the movie is spent with non-matter scenes and non-workout investigation drama. In addition to this, the movie was diverted with unnecessary scenes.
The scenes beyond the need of the story are also increased. Also, some key scenes in terms of story are not fully impressive. Also, in the pre-climax of the movie, a good emotional sequence with lag scenes was written.. They also went completely cinematic. Overall, it would have been better if the director Rajesh Jagannadham had worked more effectively with the script. Also the second half treatment should have been written better.
Technical Department:
Talking about the technical department of this movie.. Rameez Naveet’s cinematography work is good. Along with the key scenes of the movie, the rest of the scenes were also shot according to the stories. Anil Kumar’s editing is also okay. The background score composed by music director Santu Omkar is good. The producer made this film without any compromise. The production values are good.
Verdict:
Some emotional scenes are good in this emotional crime drama called Ninda. However, the lack of interesting content at some places in the story, the play bore in the second half starting, and the lack of logic in some important sequences in the movie are minus points for this movie. Overall, some emotions in this movie are impressive. This movie will connect with the audience who like different crime dramas from Varun Sandesh.
