The first sighting of the Audi Q6 e-tron electric SUV confirmed that the carmaker has started testing the vehicle on Indian roads. Painted in black colour scheme, the spotted model shows Audi’s trapezoidal grille, separated headlamp clusters (with LED Matrix beams) and LED DRLs, angular and sharp edges on the lower section of the front bumper and a long bonnet. The taillamps have the same animated pattern and new OLED lights.
What differentiates the India-spec Audi Q6 e-tron from its global-spec version are the silver finish around the fog lamps and rear bumper and differently designed alloy wheel. The Q6 e-tron underpins the new E3 1.2 architecture and has a 0.28 coefficient of drag. The electric SUV offers a cargo space of 526-litres and 64-litres of frunk. Dimensionally, it measures 4771mm in length, 1993mm in width and 1648mm in height with a wheelbase of 2899mm.
The major highlight of its interior is a single curved pane with a 11.9-inch IP screen and a 14.5-inch touchscreen supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Interestingly, the Audi Q6 e-tron is the brand’s first vehicle to offer a passenger touchscreen measuring 10.9-inch. The feature list also includes an HUD with AR displays, ambient light strip, Audi assistant with better voice commands, steering mounted controls, HVAC controls, a premium 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a 360 degree camera, ADAS suite, powered tailgate and many more.
In India, the Q6 e-tron SUV is expected to come with the 83kWh battery pack. In global markets, the EV is also available with the 100kWh battery and dual electric motors setup. This powertrain offers the WLTP-claimed range of 625km, and accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 5.9 seconds. Its power output stands at 382bhp. The Q6 e-tron is also offered in a single motor variant, featuring a 100kWh battery and promising a range of 641km (WLTP).
