BRS questions formation of panel on rythu bharosa

Hyderabad: BRS leader G. Jagadish Reddy Sunday questioned the formation of a cabinet sub-committee to decide on rythu bandhu instead of increasing it to the promised Rs 15,000. Farm loan waiver should be done without slashing rythu bharosa and they should not be stopped at any cost, he said.

“The BRS ensured payment of rythu bharosa by the end of June. It should be given like the payments made during rabi season. Law and order has completely failed in the state and attacks on women have gone up. It is not clear if the government is aware of these problems. The sand mafia is having a field day,” he said.

On receiving a letter from the electricity commission, he said, “I have been asked to reply in a week’s time. The commission will get full information only if it enquires all the stakeholders. It should also seek information from Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh.”

He asked if the commission will call the National Green Tribunal which gave environmental clearances and gave a stay on the project for a review. If the commission only indulges in giving leaks it means it is batting for the government. It should probe the issues raised by us or the chairman should quit from the post, he added. BRS leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy also participated in the meet.
