Bajaj CNG Bike – Price Expectations, Key Details

India’s first CNG bike from Bajaj is all set to hit roads on July 5, 2024. The model is in its final testing phase, and its latest spy shots reveal riding stance and design details. Developed from scratch, the new Bajaj CNG bike features a round LED headlight and bulb type indicators. The braced handlebar appears easy to access and the mid-set footpegs with a single piece seat are likely to offer upright riding stance.

The CNG cylinder is fitted beneath the seat. It has a slim tail section featuring indicators, number plate holder and a grab rail. The upswept exhaust and saree guard on the left side add more to its appearance. The spotted model was equipped with the 17-inch alloy wheels. The upcoming Bajaj CNG bike comes with a full digital instrument cluster and switchgear with a blue button on the left side, possibly for switching between petrol and CNG.

Specifications of the CNG bike are still under the wraps. Rumour has it that the model might feature a 110-125cc petrol engine coupled to a CNG kit. The bike also has a small fuel tank. Its suspension setup includes a telescopic fork and a monoshock unit fitted at the front and rear axle, respectively. The new Bajaj CNG bike has drum brakes on the front and rear ends.

Bajaj Auto recently filed trademarks for the ‘Bajaj Fighter’ and ‘Bajaj Bruzer’, one of which is likely to be used for the upcoming CNG bike. When it comes to the pricing, the model is expected to cost around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom) onwards. Once launched, the Bajaj Fighter or Bruzer will be positioned against the Honda Shine 100, Hero Splendor Plus and TVS Radeon.

The Pune-based two-wheeler maker had already confirmed that its second CNG offering will be slightly premium than the first one. These models will feature new technology, and cost more than the currently available electric scooters.
