Hyderabad: A former Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) member Gaddam Mahesh, who went missing a week ago, was found murdered in Ghatkesar here on Monday.
After the murder, the body of 42-year-old Mahesh was buried near Ghatkesar dumping yard along with his car by the accused using an earth mover. Sources said the police detained at least half a dozen people in connection with the murder case.
Officials said the exact reasons behind the murder would be known only after questioning the suspects.
The disappearance of Mahesh came to light when his family members lodged a complaint with the police, who booked a case and picked up the suspects including Chinna and Paramesh. After being grilled, the suspects admitted that they first killed Mahesh and later buried it near the dumping yard.
The police the cause of Mahesh’s death could be ascertained only after getting an autopsy report.
